Candle Burning Tips
Candle burning is more than striking a match and lighting a wick. Please follow our safety tips, they will ensure the life of your candle.
- Keep your wicks trimmed to ¼". This will eliminate smoking and lengthen the burn time of the candle.
- Snuff out the flame rather than blowing it out.
- You may develop a carbon build up (fragrance mushroom) on your wick. This shows it is a highly scented candle. If you see it on the wick, extinguish the candle, trim the wick to ¼", relight and enjoy!
- Always burn your candle at least one hour per inch of jar. Never burn a container with a chip in it.
- Don’t allow the candle to burn all the way to the bottom, leave at least ½" of wax.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Make sure the candle is on a level, heat resistant surface.
- Keep out of reach of pets and children.
- Keep out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
- Keep the candles away from drafts and do not place directly under ceiling fans.
